WELCOME BACK TO HOMESCHOOL // GIFTS FOR ME AS A HOMESCHOOL TEACHER/MOM THAT I'M LOVING IN THIS NEW SEASON THIS NEW YEAR...
ready or not, the new school year came, and we are now weeks in. teachers moved back into their classrooms, social feeds were flooded with first-day-of-school pictures followed by plans and prayers for a beautiful year.
i have to be honest, i’m usually full of excitement or feeling nervous, but this time around i can’t seem to place how i feel. not because the feelings aren’t there, but more because i don't think any combination or handful of feelings can define the days ahead. i think what i’m saying is that im open to them all. the excitement, the joys, the disappointments, the frustrations, the delights. all the firsts and all the lasts… i’m ready to consider it all joy!
there’s been so much heart work that brought me to this place & i’m grateful. honestly, this level of contentment feels like such a gift, one that bears being reminded of. so, i made a little back to homeschool teacher gift basket just for me. i filled it with so many favorites that help me remind myself to hold on to the lessons that have brought me this far in our journey and are sure to see me through the very end.

i miss writing
so, blogging as therapy and part of my everyday life is back for me.
somewhere along the way i stopped working things out through my words. i started measuring my thoughts and calculating and recalculating my ideas without processing them on paper and through pages.
so, i started writing by hand again… i started putting pen to paper and letting the tips of my fingers dance along the backlight of my keyboard. it’s been a gift. i’m figuring things out. here. in this very moment, in this actual space. i’m hoping this daily discipline transforms into devotion, helps me unravel these next chapters of my story and invites growth and healing to my life.
so, this blog is daily, for now.
the plan is that it will host the daily dips and details as i sift through my life, uncovering memories, marking moments and setting the tone for days ahead. some days there will be simple musings. a collection of words and nothing more. some will host a carousel of pics & clips and serve as word enough. some will be helpful and filled with tips and takeaways worth sharing. these posts might even make their way to the featured section of the blog.
oh, and… i needed a special space for all things live&learn. for all things homeschool & educator life, i need the friends club back but make it 2.0. so, i started a substack! Live&LearnCo w/ TheFallCoFamily!!! it will host the space we used to call our friends club and so much more.
